Just two years into her Swangz Avenue contract, Veronica Luggya known by her stage name Vinka has reeled in the big fish in form of a Sony record deal.
Vinka becomes the second Ugandan artiste to enter into a contract with Sony, the first one being a female rapper, Keko.
This was confirmed by a post on Swangz Avenue’s page stating that their dancehall artiste had signed with Sony, the record label which manages the artiste, first broke the news of the deal on their Facebook page.
“Congratulations Vinka upon your exclusive recording contract with Sony. We are so proud of you and what we have achieved so far in just two years,” – they posted.
Her Management Swangz Avenue was fast to clear the air by emphasizing that Sony had not taken control over their musician they got from scratch.
However, after releasing her latest single, it has been discovered that the giant record label has taken over full rights of her music from Swangz Avenue.
After carrying out some investigation our reporter found out that Vinka’s new music was always uploaded on Swangz Avenue Youtube Channel but her latest song(My Baibe) has been uploaded on a brand new channel called ‘VinkaVEVO’ youtube channel which is said to be managed by Sony Music Africa something that explains how Swangz Avenue has lost their singer.
