Recently a team at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations recorded a comprehensive statement from the Minister of State for Privatization and Investment, Hon. Evelyn Anite, and are now actively pursuing a number of lines of inquiry, to help prove or disprove her claim.
As Uganda Police further with investigations, It would like to warn all those behind all forms of malicious communication, over this matter on various social media platforms, to stop forthwith and allow investigations to determine the claims.
The Police emphasized that the public must know that they do take all forms of threats to life seriously, and they are prepared to expeditiously investigate on the matter(Hon.Evelyn Anite’s Death Threats).
At this stage, there are no arrests yet, but the Police have increased vigilance on Hon. Evelyn Anite’s security, both close body and at her residence.
