Eliud Kipchoge breaks 2-hour marathon mark by 20 seconds

Eliud Kipchoge has become the first athlete to run a marathon in under two hours, beating the mark by 20 seconds.

Eliud Kipchoge, 34yrs, covered the 26.2 miles (42.2km) in one hour 59 minutes 40 seconds in the Ineos 1:59 Challenge in Vienna, Austria today(Saturday/10th/october/2019).

Before the marathon, Eliud Kipchoge posted this quote on his official twitter handle and what happened next was history.

I don’t know where the limits are, but I would like to go there. Eliud Kipchoge said

After the marathon he tweeted ;

Today we went to the Moon and came back to earth! I am at a loss for words for all the support I have received from all over the world.
