The merry-making, discos, dances, bars, sports, music shows, cinemas, and concerts. These are very dangerous gathering points with the virus around. Drunkards sit close to one another. They are a danger to themselves. All these are suspended for a month.

On funerals, burials should be performed by members of the immediate family.
If the dead, however, is suspected to have died of #COVID19, the burial will be taken over by the government.

We can not ban or postpone burials for 32 days, it will not be good. We, therefore, recommend that burials should be done by relatives nearby, the rituals and mourning could be done at a later stage. It is only safe.

Uganda style weddings that bring together a pentagon of groups. This multidirectional source of the embaga/ mikolo attendants can be a source of great danger. The weddings of this type should be postponed for 32 days from today.

On Transport, do not travel unless it is necessary (if you are using public transport), additionally, the companies that operate these means should be given SOPs to follow. The public transport can continue with precautions until we record a case.

Ugandans coming back from abroad will not be stopped, but they will be placed under quarantine at their own cost. Foreigners going out cannot be stopped from doing so either provided they are not coming back within 32 days.

The prayers will continue but in homes, God is in all places. Yes, we have been praying together and it has its advantages, but we cannot insist on it in the face of danger. Religious leaders can use radio stations and TVs to continue preaching.

It wise that we close the schools (Pre-primary, Primary, Secondary, University, and Tertiary) starting Friday at midday. The closure is only temporary and will take one month. We should do this to deny coronavirus a chance.

Uganda has been spared from this virus by the mercies of God despite the false alarms. So, as God-fearing people, we need to pray for the whole country. I ask each one of you to pray in your homes, and God will hear us.

Thank you. For God and My Country.
