Uganda had been spared from this virus by the mercies of GOD despite of the false alarms until a 36 year old man left uganda to Dubai to buy screen guards on 17th Mar 2020, a day before the president’s speech.
On his arrival to uganda, 21st Mar 2020, he tested positive of Corona Virus.
Today the president has come out on his official twitter handle to inform the people about the next state emergency speech on the first #COVID19 case in uganda and what further steps he is going to take.

In light of confirmation of a COVID-19 case in Uganda, I will today, at 4pm, address the country on what further steps to take so that we curb the possible spread of this disease. Thank you.
